- For 90% you needed 450 marks, so you were 18 marks short
Percentage of best five or all subjects?
Boards and colleges calculate differently. Some take the best five subjects, some take all subjects, and some leave out additional or skill subjects. Check the rule in the admission notice, then enter only the marks and total for those subjects.

Add the marks of the subjects that count, divide by the total maximum marks of those subjects and multiply by 100. For example, 450 out of 500 is 90%.
